Celebrate Life With Photos

Life is to be celebrated.

My husband’s mom and my mom both passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease. Around the time my mom had started to get really bad my dad said to me to not wait. He didn’t want me to put off doing special things or going on trips or using the good china and things like that. He said you never know what will happen around the corner and if you wait then you might miss out on events or the little things that would’ve made you happy.

He’s right.

That’s how I feel when I look at all the great items you can choose from at Shutterfly. Typically I would only send photo Christmas cards. I love them because you have so many choices.  No longer do you have to use only one photo.  Then I realized that there really isn’t any need to wait only until then to celebrate life and share special snapshots or memories with friends and family. You can send a simple photo stationery card of your kids, animals or yourself to anyone and write a simple note that you are just thinking of them. This would cheer anyone up and chances are they would leave this out all year round and smile each time they glance at it. I usually do.

Over the summer I received two separate graduation party invitations that had a collage of photos of the graduate through their school years on it. Shutterfly has party invitations that will blow your socks off. I thought that those graduation invitations were wonderful and I still have them up on my refrigerator because they make me smile to look at those pictures.

My cousin who lives out of state sent out save the date cards last year to those that she was inviting to her wedding. It was nice to see the photo of her and her fiancé on it. I had never had the opportunity to meet him since they don’t get the chance to travel to Pittsburgh often.

So when the Mom Blogger's Club notified me that Shutterfly Blog Network wanted me to give a review of my Shutterfly experience in exchange for promo codes for 10 free 5x7 flat stationery cards, I jumped at the offer.  I just love photo cards and always have - so this was a no brainer for me.

I also have 2 promo codes to give away to 2 lucky winners

One promo code will be fof 10 free 5x7 flat stationery cards.  (Just to let you know though - you will have to pay the taxes, shipping and handling and the codes will expire 12/31/2010.)  Each winner will receive 1 promo code.

A valid email address must be given in your comment.
The winners will be notified by email and will have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be drawn.

Contest ends at 11:59pm EST on 9/30/2010.

I would like to get Christmas cards this year instead of the boring generic "happy holidays" cards I normally do.

My baby girl's 2nd birthday is 2 days before Christmas, I would like to celebrate how excited her 3 older siblings get on her special day, and how cute she looks with all the attention on her. :)
