Everybody was Kung Zhu Fighting

A while back I arrived home to find an enormous box on my front porch.  It was my birthday and I got all excited at an unexpected package at my doorstep.  However, this wasn't a birthday present at all.  I was not disappointed though because what was in the box was this:

The folks at Mom Select have graciously supplied me with this loot so that I could host a Kung Zhu party at my home.  I had some difficulty with the timing of this event and had to reschedule it a bunch of times due to people's vacations, illness and what-not.  But decided that I was going to stick with it.  What should have been a party of 5 ended up being a party of 3.

We had balloons, cupcakes, cookies, and goodie bags.  Yep, we were all set to party like it was 1999.

Diva and I set to the task of putting all the very cool tracks together.  We started with the battle arena and worked ninja style and ended with special forces.  The instructions were easy to follow and I actually let Diva build everything to see if a 10 year old could handle it.  It was a breeze for her to snap everything together.  It did take us well over an hour to put it all together but mind you, we had a mammoth pile to work with - the everyday sane family would purchase these items in groups not in one lump sum.

Boy Child couldn't contain himself during the building phase so we let him pick out a Kung Zhu hamster and battle armor to play with while he waited.

The kids thought this playset was very very cool.  I was quite impressed with the smart-chip technology.  The hamster made the appropriate noises to accommodate which section of the track it was on.  For example, when it arrived at a section that had a gun section it made the noise of shooting guns and then when it approached the gate to the arena it made a noise that it knew it had to prepare for battle.  When it entered the battle arena it made ninja battle-type sounds.  When you swipe the hamster across their battle armor Tablet of Zhu they know that they are going into battle and you hear clangs of swords and stuff.  Really very cool!

After playing with the tracks for quite some time the kids decided to experiment with the armor and tanks!  They armored the critters up and set them into the arena.  The boys and girls both liked playing with the tanks. The hamsters go inside the tanks and their power pushes them along.  Some of the tanks have claws that open and close while it moves and they also have these spears that shoot at their opponent. Here my kids are being goofy and put the tank into the arena.

What is nice too is that the Kung Zhu hamsters worked perfectly on both my carpeted floors and on my kitchen floor so it didn't matter where in the house the kids played with them.  It is also nice that you have a ability to put them to sleep by pushing the button on their back.

The party was a success.  The kids loved the toys.  We decided to split up the tracks so everyone had some as a starter set and they got to take home some Kung Zhu pets with their accessories.  A few days later we received a thank you card from one of our guests - too cute!

Now for even more fun stuff.  I have a set of Kung Zhu's to give away.  I will be giving away one Special Forces Battle Hamster along with his Battle Armor and one Ninja Warrior Battle Hamster along with his Battle Armor to one lucky winner.  After all, you cannot battle if you don't have an enemy to fight.

WIN IT!

My daughter is a huge Zhu Zhu pet fan and she's fascinated by Kung Zhu. She has lots of "boyfriends" that come for play dates, so these would be a great addition to our toy collection!

My baby brother loves all zhu zhus, kung zhu & regular. My son also likes them but does not own any yet, and I would love to give him some of his own instead of him having to share with his uncle

I would love to win the Kung Zhu package for my boys. Anything having to do with Ninja's or secret agents they just glom onto and once they saw the commercials for these they haven't quit asking for them. Would make for an awesome christmas gift as well. Thanks for the opportunity!
