Puma Kids Clothing by Parigi Group - Review and Giveaway

I wrote this review by participating in a blog campaign by MomSelect on behalf of Parigi Group.  I received one outfit to keep for the purpose of the review and one outfit will be sent from BSM Media to the winner of the giveaway on my website.  All opinions are my own - like them or not..

As you can see from the above picture, I received a very sweet looking outfit to have my son wear for the purpose of this review.  I don't really know what I was expecting but what I received was great.  This is a PUMA Kids outfit which is a division of the Parigi Group, Ltd.

To be honest with you, I've never heard of Parigi Group.  I have, however, heard of PUMA Kids, Apple Bottoms for Girls, Baby Phat Girlz and DKNY Kids.  These are all represented by the Parigi Group.

Since the shirt and shorts were black in color and the weather in our neck of the woods has been in the 90's for weeks, I haven't had an opportunity for him to wear this until recently when we went to the movies.  I wanted him to look nice but he wanted to be comfy.  So we both won in the end.

I was a bit worried about the size being a Size Medium because even though my son is 6 years old, he is 4ft tall and weighs 88 pounds.  He normally wears a 12/14 top and a 10 bottom (or 8 Husky).  I have a lot of trouble with shirts fitting him because he has very broad shoulders like his dad.  So I usually have to choose what fits him across the back and try to ignore that the shirt is to his knees and if long-sleeved we have major cuffing going on.   It is hard to tell from this picture because the creepy smile is rather frightening because both the top and bottom are black but the shirt fits him very very nice.  The shorts fit him perfect also.

I should also point out that I found the clothes to be very soft and the seams and tags were not scratchy at all.  This may not seem like a big deal to you but in our world it is huge.  My son has some sensory issues and if the item of clothing is too scratchy - he won't wear it, if the item of clothing is too soft - he won't wear it, and if you finally find an item of clothing that is perfect but the tag is pestering him - you best get the scissors and start snipping that tag out or there will be trouble. He put these clothes on straight out of the box and there were no issues in the sensory department - yippee!

I have recently quit my job in order to be home for my kids so I don't spend money unwisely.  I can tell you that I wouldn't honestly pay the MSRP of $28 and $26 for these items, but that is just because MY budget wouldn't allow me to do this for everyday wear.  Now, if I wanted something for a special outing or maybe for a vacation (like my dream of going on the Disney Cruise) I would spend the extra money on this line of clothing because it really is very nice and is well made.  These clothes are VERY well made and they most likely will hold up well with the beating that my son will be giving them.  Once my son has outgrown this outfit I will be handing it down to my friend (who has a son younger than my boy) and I'm confident it will still be in great shape.  Most of our outfits end up too worn for handing down.  My husband always tells me that you get what you pay for - and the MSRP seems to be worth the quality for this PUMA Kids outfit.

Now for more fun!
I'm not gonna FORCE you to become a follower, nor will I FORCE you to tweet about this giveaway, I won't even FORCE you to friend 1Mom JustSaying on Facebook in order to get extra entries.  Nope.  If you want to do those things, it would just be out of the goodness of your heart. It would make me smile.

I WILL ask you to just leave me a comment on this post.  Only one entry per person.  That is all.

This giveaway will end at 11:00pm EST on July 25, 2010 (That will be Pittsburgh time yinz guys).  I will choose a random winner and contact that winner by email, so please make sure you have entered a valid email address with your comment.

This is the prize - a replica of the PUMA Kids T-shirt and shorts outfit in a Size Medium that I received.

The winner's outfit will be sent directly from BSM Media so please no PO Box addresses. Unfortunately for some, this contest is only valid for residents of the Continental United States.

What are you waiting for ..... go post your comment!

Definitely something my boys could use! I've never tried the Puma brand mostly because I always thought it would be pretty expensive.
