I was invited to attend a Build-A-Bear Workshop® Zoorrific Moms’ Mixer at the Ross Park Mall location. Build-A-Bear Workshop® gave us $50 in bear bucks to buy our child a Limited Edition Zoorrific animal, one outfit and one sound! Anyone who knows me well understands that by nature I would automatically say no to this event for one reason and one reason only....I do not like to drive to places I've never been to, especially if it means getting close to using any of the Parkways or going near the City. However, since I've told myself that as of June this is the beginning of a new me and a new way of living, I accepted the invitation. Boy am I glad I did.
I didn't tell my son that we were going to Build-A-Bear Workshop®. If you are a follower of my other blog site then you know that Boy Child has some issues. One of them would be that if he knew we were going someplace special he would start to think about it - and think and think and think. Then the anxiety would set in. Then it would be non-stop obsession until his behavior would be out of control. So it was best he was unaware. When the day came, I simply told him that we had to go to a new mall today.
My Tom Tom got me to Ross Park Mall with no problems and I wasn't even sick to my stomach like I usually get when I am forced to venture away from my neck of the woods. I can tell you though that it was a good thing that I had planned on going early, because I had read the invitation wrong and would have missed the party entirely if I hadn't arrived when I did. Whew!
